Hypnotherapy is proven to stop smoking for good

Hypnotherapy is proven to be one of the most successful ways to help you stop smoking.

If you feel compelled to smoke, or feel that there is a deeper problem causing this, hypnotherapy is an excellent tool for uncovering and removing this urge forever. This is something that e-liquids, nicotine gum, patches or self-help books cannot do for you. It doesn’t matter how long you have been smoking, or why. Hypnotherapy is a quick and painless method of changing this.

There’s nothing you can’t do without nicotine

Many people have replaced nicotine using e-liquids, nicotine gum and patches. However, at some point, the body has to let the nicotine go for good. Most clients find that hypnosis can be effective on its own without the need for nicotine replacement. Take a look around you at other non-smokers; they are not lacking anything positive by having no more nicotine in their bloodstream. Without this chemical, you will find there is nothing you can’t do.

Habits can be broken

Smoking is also a compulsion, or a habit. And we all know that habits can be broken. So, what we explore together is your view of the world and how your smoking habit ‘protects’ you, including: any ‘positive intention’ behind smoking; what is it doing for you? Relaxing you? Keeping you safe? What other, less harmful, ways can you satisfy this intention? Also, we will look at scenarios together, where in the past, you may have stopped smoking successfully but slipped back again. So, we explore the emotions surrounding this ‘moment of weakness’ and fine tune them so that they never happen again.

The non-smoker session

There are no magic wands involved – each session is tailor-made to your experience of smoking.

A 2 hour session with me typically involves the following steps:

  1. We discuss your smoking history – so that I can get a good idea of your habit; past attempts to stop; when and where you smoke, how many, and so on.
  2. We explore the ‘triggers’ that make you light up, plus any feelings felt at the time of lighting up; we also look at any ‘crisis moments’ – according to how you feel them.
  3. We then get on with the change-work: I use powerful NLP techniques and hypnotherapy to help you resolve your specific smoking condition.
  4. I coach you on how to beat any cravings – equipping you with various techniques; some hypnotic: some not, to assist you in your new life as a non-smoker.
  5. I offer some clients a follow-up ‘MOT session’ 6 months later, but most don’t need it.

The benefits to your health of stopping smoking

You will start to notice your chest clearing after 24 hours. Your blood pressure drops after 1 day. Carbon monoxide leaves your blood after 2 days. Nicotine will leave your body completely in 3 days. Your gums get better after 3 days. Your sense of smell and taste may well improve. Your lungs will start to breath freely and easily after 1 month. After 3 months, the withdrawal symptoms and cravings will stop. According to most GPs you will live longer, now that you have stopped.

You could save £3,000 a year

This is a close estimate on the yearly cost of cigarettes for the average smoker in the UK. If you had £3,000 spare each year, what would you do with it? If you have been smoking for the last 5 years, that would be about £15,000. In 5 year’s time, you will have saved £15,000 as a non-smoker. So, how would you like things to be in another 5 years from now?

Ultimately, you need to do it for yourself – no one else

If you have decided to stop, then using my Smoking Cessation Clinic in Oxford, you will have the strongest chance of quitting for good. The smoking habit you are experiencing is neither inevitable, nor incurable. Working with me, using the powerful, lasting therapies I employ, means you do have a choice.

Please Note:

The most important thing is that part of you does want to stop, because if you don’t, I cannot help you, in fact you would be wasting your time calling me. So, if you’re not put off by what I have just told you and you’re still reading this, then all I can say is, get in touch, and by doing so you are already making the first step in becoming a non-smoker.
